Hi! My name is Nicky Hardy
Nicole (Nicky) Hardy, a native rural Minnesotan, is a mother, scientist and substitute teacher with a passion for education and community service. Nicky is a steadfast volunteer in her community serving as a board member at the Pequot Lakes Community Library, where she promotes literacy and public engagement; a volunteer with the Crow Wing County Master Gardener Program, which helps address local food insecurity; and a volunteer with Community Action of Pequot Lakes, where she chairs a community service scholarship. In addition to her volunteer work, Nicky teaches water aerobics twice a week. Nicky lives in Pequot Lakes with her husband Blaine, their three amazing children, dog, cat, and thirteen chickens.

In Senate District 6, that means creating sustainable economic opportunities, supporting our miners and their families, and protecting our natural resources—because thriving communities are built on collaboration and shared progress.
Education
When we invest in education, we invest in our future. Nicky aims to strengthen rural education through equitable funding of rural schools, revisions and updates to funding mechanisms, improved access to Head Start and Pre-K, and improved recruitment of teachers to rural MN.
Protect our Children
Child sex trafficking is not a distant problem—it's happening right here in Minnesota, and rural communities are no exception. With better funding for law enforcement, advanced tools, community awareness, and education, we can protect our children and ensure a safer future.
Healthcare
Ensuring access to affordable and quality healthcare for all Minnesotans is a top priority. Nicky advocates for policies that prioritize the well-being of individuals and their communities.
Building Trust at the Capitol
For some, trust in our legislators has been broken, but I believe trust can be rebuilt! It starts with listening, transparency, and collaboration. As your Senator, I will meet you where you are, ensure your voice is heard, and work to deliver meaningful results for Senate District 6.
